Dolphin spotting och fortsattning pa roadtrippen

Lovina, dar vi stannade over natten, ar kant for sina delfiner. Nastan varje hotell i staden ordnar delfinsafarin sa det ar inte svart att komma med pa en tur. Vi var forst lite skeptiska over safarina eftersom man inte nodvandigtvis ser en enda delfin.. Men da vi fick hora att man med 98% sakerhet ser delfiner tankte vi att varfor inte. Var kompis, som jobbar pa hotellet, pratade ocksa mycket varmt om turen och sa att man brukar se ca 20 delfiner och om man har tur kanske 50. Vi kallade honom var kompis eftersom han igar dok upp fran ingenstans nar vi satt i bilen pavag mot Singaraja, knackade pa vindrutan var och fragade om vi soker efter ett hotell eller behover guidningshjalp. Vi behovde ju bade och sa vi lat honom guida oss anda fram till hotellet som Julian redan namde att var jatte bra. Skitsnall typ! Sa vi bestamde oss alltsa att chansa och fara pa delfinsafarin, sa idag blev det en tidig vackning for att vi skulle vara pa havet fore soluppgangen 7 tiden. Vi fick ett lite morgonmal bestaende av friterade bananer och kaffe/te och sen fick vi satta oss i den minimala baten som tog oss ut pa havet. Vi var sammanlagt 5 turister som var med pa safarin. Efter kanske 20 min sag Julian nagot som happade langre ut i vattnet men tyvarr var det bara var en tonfisk! :P Som tur visade det sig att vi fick se annat an tonfiskar, efter 10 min sag vi de forsta delfinerna!! De var sa sota och manga och man sag dem verkligen fran nara hall! Lite svart var det att fa bra bilder men nagra lyckades vi anda fa :) Det var forst ocksa meningen att vi skulle fa snorkla med delfinerna men vattnet var sa grumligt efter nattens storm att de inte skulle ha varit nagon ide. Det osregnade och askade hela natten, det kandes manga ganer som om blixten skulle ha slagit ner i var bungalow!

Efter delfinsafarin fick vi ett till morgonmal fore det var dags att borja kora soderut igen. Vi gav lite tips och ett par solglasogon till var kompis for att tacka honom for allt. Han blev jatteglad over solglasogonen och satt dem genast pa, rolig typ! Var forsta stop idag var "The hot springs" vid Danau Batur sjon. Vi kom fram efter nan timmes korande och tyvarr var det att konstatera att det var en lite onodig resa.. De heta kallorna var inte nagra naturliga heta kallor i form av hal i marken utan en byggd swimming pool dar de anvande det heta vattnet fran vulkanerna. For att simma i den "heta poolen" kostade det 25 euro / person!! Vi tackade nej och fortsatte var resa ner mot risterasserna i Tegallalang. Tur att sjon Danau Batur och den heta poolen anda var at samma hall dit vi var pavag. Risterasserna var i alla fall jatte fina! Vi tog en kopp kaffe vid en av restaurangerna och beundrade vyerna. Det sag ut som en massa grona trappsteg eller plataer med vaxtlighet, svart att beskriva men ni kan ta en titt pa bilderna :)

Det borjade osregna nar vi fortsatte var resa mot Ubud, staden dar Eat, Pray, Love ar filmad. Det var inte nat extra roligt att forsoka orietera sig fram nar man inte sag ett endaste gatunamn och inte visste var man var. Julian tankte manga ganger branna propparna pa alla mopeder som dok upp fran ingenstans och skulle pressa sig forbi oss. Val framme i Ubud hittade vi ett jattefint hotell efter en frustrerande bilsightseeing i (finns de manne hotell pa den har gatan? Ska vi testa har? Skiit, har va de tydligen enkelriktat!! Backa, backa!! Tillbaka, nej jag vet int..) centrum. Hotellnatten blev lite dyrare eftersom det bara fanns superior rum kvar men nagon gang ar det ju skont med lite lyx! Ubud, som ligger i mellersta Bali, kallas Balis kulturcentrum och i staden hittar man mycket hantverk, smycken och statyer av olika slag. Staden ar aven kan for The Monkey Forest som vi kommer att besoka imorgon. Nar det hade slutat regna gick vi omkring i staden och tittade pa de vackra sakerna som fanns till salu. Tyvarr har man mycket begransat utrymme i rinkan som backpacker, sa det blev inte nagot shoppande fast man skulle ha haft lust.

Vi fann ut att det pa kvallen skulle ordnas en Baliensk dans- och eldshow nara huvudgatan sa vi bestamde oss att ga och titta pa den. Det var en verklig kulturupplevelse, vi filmade lite sa ni ska fa se hur det var bara vi far filmen uppladdad pa bloggen! Showen bestod av teater, dans och transrytmer som de skickliga balineserna astadkommer. Den Balienska dansen ar kand over hela varlden och Balineserna ar mycket stolta over den. Dansgrupperna kan upptrada pa fodelsedagar, brollop, festivaler eller andra handelser som forknippas med den Balienska religionen eller kulturen. Det var fint att fa ta del av dansshowen fast Julian i mellanat tyckte den var lite utdragen! ;)

PS. Vi fick just veta att Emma kommer och halsar pa oss till Australien till 2 veckor, helt huippu!! Det blir sa roligt att se ett bekant ansikte i mellanat, saknar er alla dar hemma sa mycket! Om nagon annan har lust att komma och hanga med oss ar det bara att komma, vi tar emot er med oppna armar!<3

PSS. Betty har tappat sin kannykka sa nu far man bara kontakt med mig pa nettin..

Around Bali with a car

So guys here we go again.

Remember I told u about our Internet guy beeing the same guy who we rented the car from ??? Well we got the car 06:45 in the morning delivered to our hotel, unfortunately not the kind of car we had hoped for (a jimny)

but the car is okey. we got a Suzuki of some kind. The car is small and looks weird but it works and its an aircon in it. Whopdeedo :) We are like the worst two gangster riding around in Bali one their own. hehe ( picture of it will come).

Anyway we started around 19:00 ish, and I mean the traffic is a mess. Like the guy said when we rented the car. People in Bali don't necessarily have a drivers license. And if they do there is two ways to get one. 1.U buy if 2. U take one test. And u can throw away all western rules about driving. The biggest is status meaning that u can go first, u can drive on the middle of the road and park in the middle of it. But the most important thing is to just drive no mater if its red or green light and don't crash with anyone. If u crash it doesn't mater if it was the other guys fault. U still have to pay and u better do it before the crowd gets bigger. Cause then the price gets bigger as well. And its allays the tourists fault. studpid rule I know :( but what can u do. :)

And since the police is corrupt they might just stop u and demand money for something. And u give them around 10 euros and then u can go again. :( Remind me again why we decided to drive Betty ???? And u need to calculate time and just dont mind the motorbikes that follows their own rule. And that is I am going no mater what. And there is so many of them! Feels like a million at least when u are driving. But but but , we are still alive :) hehe

So we started in Kuta Beach (as the map shows) and now we are in Lovina in the north of Bali. A place where there is nothing except they have dolphin snorkling here witch we are settled to do tomorrow morning before the rest of the trip continues. So here we are on the road. We bought a map and Betty became the "kartlaser" and I am driving. First we made a couple of short goals and then since that worked perfect we continued doing that. And after 1.5 hour drive we found our self at one of the main attractions in Bali. Tanah Lot, An amazing sight where they apparently had a huge snake that u could hold. But as soon as we heard the world snake we just went of the opposite direction.

On the way we saw these amazing rise terrace witch we stopped at and took some pictures but we don't show them yet cause tomorrow we will see Bali's biggest rice terrace so no need. The next stop on the way where Pura Ulun Danu aka Lake Beratan witch it is in English. There we went for a walk on the nice sight that u couldn't access if u had the period. There where actually a sign that explained the rules of visiting the sight. Quite funny hehe :)

The rest of the road from Lake Beratan where bad and with a lot of turns. Right, left, right, left all the way and the turns where sharp and downhill so u should pay attention to what u where doing. :) thank god we made it. hehe And in the middle of the mountains (the highest one we passed where about 2500 meter and its a volcano from origin) we found these two ladies sitting on the side of the road feeding monkeys bananas from their hands. We where amazed by that and quickly turned the car around to take part of the action. :) The monkeys came out from everywhere and in the end there where probably 20 of them. But only the biggest eat. He stole all the bananas and took them directly from our hand. It was cool and they where cute. (they where called Beard monkey)

And then, we arrived up north to Lovina after 4 hours of driving. And here in Lovina we went for dinner and chilled by the resort witch is 6 euro pr person and recommendable for u travelers. :) Witch we also do with hiring a car, its not that bad as everybody wants it to be. Just pay attention and be patient when u drive and u will be fine. :) So now its time to head our and get out of your hair. So we wich u a pleasant day and may everything that u wish for come true.

Surfing at Kuta beach

So as Betty mention the last time we are set to go surfing.

We went there around 15:00 cause thats when the waves are decent for learning. We had been planning to go surfing for a long time now so finally we where about to do it. :) We just went to the beach and asked around to get the cheapest prize. And there is so many stands to choose from.

The beach is packed with people who give out surf lessons and some hopefully is better then the one I (Julian) had. And after some hussel we found Bob. Bob was a guy doing pretty much every thing, we could get beer, transport, surf lessons and some marijuana for later, if we wanted. He had hes dirty little fingers in on all the action as he said. :) we seem to meet all the nice guys dont we??? Still even at 15:00 he thought that the waves where to big so we had to sit down, have some water and just relax. :) nice start... So then after half an hour waiting it where our turn to try, first they gave us a wet t-shirt and a board. Then we walked down towards the beach and learned the technique for standing up and their commandos.

(1. Paddle 2. stand up) mhm, would never had figure out that I where to stand up on my own.... But anyway, we got our surfboards and went out in the water. The waves where even bigger in the water then what they looked like from the beach. And Betty had some trouble handling the surfboard since the waves where so big and she is so small. :) her guide where just laughing since she went up and around whit the board instead of going over the wave. It was funny :)
In the water both of us quickly got the technique to get up so we kind of got the hang of it already on the second wave. :) witch ment that we got a lot of time to practice. We where in the water about 1 hour for the first session before we had a 5 min break on the beach, just so that the would maximize their income by wanting us to buy something more to drink.. Smart isn't?? Since it where our first time we got this big soft learning board witch u can walk back and forward on without any problem. But its harder to turn so u basically just go straight on and doing some tricks that u pick up by your self after just testing it. :) But after the break I (Julian) changed to the pro boards, just for the fun of it. It went fine, a little bit more difficult to get up but I quickly picked it up. But when u first fell the waves would twist and turn u under the water so when u got up u didn't quite now where u where. Betty got the hand of it, surfing long waves all the way to the beach. Her guide where funny and skilled so she got to do some good waves and she even had a string bikini on so her guide had a good time as well :) hehe. But after getting the hang on things u want more right?? But my guide kept on giving me the smaller waves and keeping me floating for a while. (Witch means that u get closer to the beach and the waves close down on u). In the end I just got sick of riding 10 meter and then just sinking by yourself cause the wave isn't strong enough to carry u. :( so I told him several times that I want bigger waves, but he still kept on holding me and letting go when the waves where small so I just king of told him to have a go. :) And seriously he had a hard time getting up from the board and where on my level. So how are u suppose to learn from a guy that looked like he had surfed 4 times before in hes life???????????? But anyway, good experience and a lot of fun :) we recommend trying it and we would for sure go again :)

When we got back from the hotel we found out how tired we where from surfing :) its really hard, much harder then it looks like. U get tired of fighting the waves all the time so we kind of just relaxed for a bit before we went out for a couple of beers and a movie. Its this awesome surf bar\restaurant that has movies each night at 19:00 an 22:00. Today they showed the movie, you don't mess with the Zohan.

An hilarious movie with Adam Sandler. And after that we went to our internet guy who also happens to be the guy we rent the car from, for tomorrows little car getaway. :) We are going to drive up to the north and take a look how things are there. The true Bali as many says. So take a look tomorrow for there might be some awesome pics from the "true Bali".

Bali / Kuta - Surfers paradice, shopping mecca eller turisthelvete?

Ja, ja och ja!

Vi paborjar just var tredje hela dag pa Bali, Kuta. Bali ar en o i Indonesien dar det bor ca 4 miljoner manniskor. Har pa Kuta bor ca 1 miljon manniskor men man ser nog nastan bara turister har. Kuta ar Balis turistsight nr 1 och ar kant for den vackra solnedgangen pa Kuta Beach och de stora vagorna gor sa att surfarna trivs. Har kan man shoppa i manga dagar i streck om man sa vi, det finns sa mycket ljuvligt har!! Man hittar bade fake och akta varor och det ar sa billigt! Hit kan man alltsa bra komma med en tom kappsack och fara hem med en overfull! Barer finns det ocksa gott, det ar manga turister som bara kommer hit for att festa. Kuta paminner lite om Bulgariens Sunny Beach; shopping, party och strandliv. Fast Bali ar yberturistigt tror jag att alla hittar nagot de tycker om har. Det finns manga lugnare destinationer har pa on, vacker natur och mycket kultur. Imorgon skall vi hyra en bil och aka runt pa on och kolla in vad on har att erbjuda :)

Hittils har vi sloat vid hotellets pool, shoppat, besokt Hard Rock Cafe och hotel, akt hast och karra (det var faktist Julians ide!!) och annat skoj. Vi bor pa Ap Inn Kuta, vilket visade sig vara ett forvanansvart bra val. Det ar nara till allt, rummen ar frascha och stora, poolen ar helt otroligt najs och morgonmalet ar inkluderat. Har finns inte bedbugs eller nagra andra ackliga kryp som vi hort att det finns pa manga andra hotell.

Idag skall vi testa pa att surfa, jee! Det kostar endast 10 euro per pers. for en 2 timmars surflektion. Lite nervos ar man nog men det ar sa manga surfare i vattnet samtidigt sa risken att hela stranden glor pa en ar ganska liten. Annat var det pa El Nido dar alla satt och glodde pa de tva enda asiaterna som testade pa vindsurfing. Dom foll direkt varje gang de kom upp pa bradet, stackrarna!

Men hei, nu skall vi borja dra oss till stranden! Nasta gang vi ses ska ni fa hora hur resten av Bali ser ut! Under tiden kan ni ta och titta pa Eat, Pray, Love med Julia Roberts for att komma in i ratt stamning ;) (Filmen ar dels filmad har pa Bali)

A totaly new impression of Manila

Since we get more and more english friends the blog will now start to be multilangual :) 3 different language, beat that anyone! hehe. So as u might remember from reading our blog we visited Manila about 2 weeks ago and then we found it boring and noting spesial. People hasseling us in the streets and people lying straight to your face just to get 100 peso more. But now after visiting the capitol for the 2 time a new impression and some interesting facts came to sight. Like for instance that its the headquarters for the world health organisation and that Manila is with the greater urban area is the 5th largest city in the world. And not to mention the great but quite expencive mall we found. The mall of Asia as its called is the 3 largest mall in Asia. And its big :) Enormous in fact, with and icering, 2 cinemas, theather stage, bowling, 2 game rooms, probably around 500 stores, and so much more that u canot imagine. We arrived around 14:30 and before we knew better they where closing and then the watch said 22:00. We saw alot and walked probably a couple of miles but still by the time they where closing we hadnt seen it all. :( But I quess u need a couple of days to do that sooo.... And another thing that was alittle pain in the ass where the fact that the south, east, north and west wing looked exactly the same. Just different stores thats it :( Imagine the confusion walking around there. U never knew quit where u where.

Even the day went fast we manage to do alot, and spend a couple of hundred euros. We eat sushi for dinner, the kind of sushi that comes to your table on a transporting . And it where a buffet, so we could simply just pic the once that we wanted and relaxe for a long while. :) It was nice and we paid around 12 euros each for it. Other than that we went to see if we could see a movie but nothing felt right so we skipped that and instead just went shopping. New shoes for the both of us, new shirts and so on.... :) At 10 pm when the mall closed we walked outside for a bit and took a taxi back to the airport. Surprisingly we found the people funny, polite and gave us a totally different impression then on the last visit. And since we decided to not take a hotel room we slept at the airport, witch surprisingly was fine. We got some good spots and located the sleepingbag from the backpack and fell fast asleep. Of caurse I (Julian) sleep ontop of the backpacks and with them both strapped to me in different ways. :) It where safe and we had no trouble what so ever. The only thing that was negative about that day where the fact that they charged us 300 peso pr bag we left behind at the airport so 600 all together. (about 10 euros). And that stupid airport fee that allways is a pain in the ass. :( hehe. After maby 4 hours sleep we found our self on the plain to Singapore where we have 10 hours to kill before the flight departs for the great BALI. :) Imagine the 10 hour wait will go just fine, Singapore airport has a great rumor so no problem I rekon. Am acctually looking foreword to see the Singapore Taxfree and to just mess around with children of different etnics. :) But thats it for now folks. Next time we see u we will be in surfers paradise BALI so we just might have to learn how to surf. surpise surprise. But yeah, take care and have fun. Happy bday Petsku btw. De sista dagarna pa Palawan

Den sista dagen pa El Nido tog vi det bara lugnt pa stranden och Julian besokte gymmet for sista gangen. Pa kvallen for vi ut och ata med Adrian och Karen och efter maten fortsatte vi till var favoritbar, bongcafeet! Vi spelade timpuri, kort, rokte bong och testade pa olika shottar och drinkar. Drinkarna hade jatte roliga namn men man mast nog medge att det var lite konstigt att bestalla en blowjob eller en orgasm :D Denna gang testade vi pa white russian shisha med jordgubbssmak. Den var god men man blev helt sjukt somnig av det. Kanske det var lika bra eftersom det blev en tidig morgon for oss nasta dag da vi skulle ta shuttle vanin ner till Puerto Princesa. En rolig kvall var det i alla fall! :)

Denna gang gick resan till Puerto Princesa bra. Vi startade da vi skulle och bilens ac fungerade och man fick ganska bra sovet. Najs! En komisk sak intraffade dock under turen, vi fick punktering :D Men var kusk var skicklig att byta dack sa det blev bara en 15 min paus pa farden. Vi traffade en annan finne pa shuttle vanin. Han var fran Kouvola och var en san junt att huhu! Han hade rest i fem veckor och tyckte det var skont att fara hem till Finland eftersom det ar sa tungt nar man maste dricka varje dag.. Jag var mycket stolt over mitt folk i denna stund kan jag beratta :D

Vi bestamde oss for att fara till samma hotell i Puerto Princesa (Casa Fuerte) for att vi digga det stallet och allt fungerade bra. Det var ljuvligt att se hur glada personalen var da de sag att vi kom tillbaka. Nagon discount fick vi anda inte, hehe! Vi var inne till stan en svang men annars sag vi bara pa leffor pa rummet. De e ganska sa skont att bara sloa ibland :) En liten van i form av en odla hjalpte julian att ata upp papayan idag pa morgonmalet. Forst lura den en stund under hanns kaffekopp men efter en stund krop den helt kallt upp pa hans taldrik och borjade slicka i sig av papayan! Ni far se bilder pa lillen inom kort!

Island-hopping

Ni har redan sett bilder fran var Island-hopping tur men tankte anda skriva lite om den. Island-hoppingen gick alltsa ut pa att vi besokte 4 olika destinationer by boat och sa blev vi bjudna pa lunch dar emellan. Forst fick vi se small lagoon. Namnet sager redan ganska mycke i sig sjalv, det var en liten lagoon som man kom in i genom att snorkla igenom en skara i bergsvaggen. Det var tufft att man inte kunde kora in i lagoonen med bat utan att guiden tog oss dit simmande. Nar man kom in i lagoonen sag man att den inte alls var sa liten, dar fanns manga mindre lagooner i samma och dessutom en grotta som vi fick simma in i. Koraller fanns det ocksa mycket i lagoonen men fiskarna som levde runt korallreven var agressiva for att dar hela tiden simmade turister fram och tillbaka. Det var forsta gangen man blev radd att en fisk lika stor som ens hand skulle anfalla en! Man markte genast att Island-hoppingen ar popular bland philippiner och asiater over huvudtaget. Storsta delen av dem kan inte simma sa de var komiskt att titta pa dem nar de flyter fram en i taget med enorma flytvastar och forsoker komma framat genom att sparka sa hart de orkar pa ytan.. Vilket endast resulterar i att alla runt dem blir dyblota och storda :D

Till nast fick vi se Shimizu Island. Vi gick inte i land pa on utan snorklade utanfor on vilket var fantastiskt. Julian sag en vattenskoldpadda da han snorklade medan Bettina fordes langre bort pga. den starka strommen. Efter snorklandet var det dags for lunch. Vi fick ga iland pa en liten paradisstrand brevid en all-inclusive lyxresort. Det var rena rama paradiset, vit sand och turkost hav! Vi funderade pa att slappa ivag baten och bli dar for evigt! Lunchen var jattegod, besattningen grillade fisk o hona, som vi at med ris, sallad och ananas - NAM!!

Efter en nagra timmars chillpaus for vi vidare mot secret lagoon. Darifran har vi inte nagra bilder eftersom man maste ta in sig i lagoonen simmande genom ett pyttelitet hal i bergsvaggen. Lagoonen var liten men absolut den vackraste! Adrian tog nagra bilder inne i lagoonen som vi skall visa er genast nar vi far dem :)

Big lagoon var det andra sista stallet vi besokte. Det var en jatte stor lagoon som man kunde kora in i med bat. Dar snorklade vi ocksa omkring en stund och julian tankte skramma livet av Betty nar han dok under henne och skuffade upp en stor gren rakt i hennes face, hui va radd man blev! Efter snorklandet blev det live cliffjumping for Julian och Adrian medan Betty och Karen catchade bruna. 7 commando beach var det sista stallet vi besokte och inte nagot jatte speciellt. Det var en beach dit manga far och tittar pa solnedgangen men vi for ivag fore det, sa vi missade det.

Det var en perfekt dag, man sag mycket av "skargarden" runt El Nido och dessutom ar det ju alltid roligt att vara pa havet! Skriver snart mer om de sista dagarna pa El Nido, puss pa er!
