Brisbane

Australias 3 biggest city and a metropolian unlike the others. Thats Brisbane for u in 10 words. The 2 million capitol of Queensland is the most beautiful city so far on our travel even though is still hurting from the 2011 flooding that hit it. The once so beautiful river area is a shadow of it self, but still we found it to be amazing. Riverside resturants, pathwalks along the river, rivercats ( a ferry) & a man made beach area with pool and much more that tourist all over the world travel to see.

But there where so much more that was taken with the 2011 flood, resturants closing down cause wather damage, the riverside pats torn to pieces and the severe damage to the rainforest that surrounds the South banks area and other areas of caurse.

Anyway, when visiting Brisbane u get the impression that u are in a rainforest as well as in a big metropolian city. The rainforest parks, the cleaness, the people, the space makes

the city appear smaller and more environmental witch is good. :) They make a 2 mil city look like it's the sice of Helsinki. :) Spacious ways, several shopping centers, and different cultural hotspots around the city are all parts of giving that impression. We really liked the fact that u can see a bit of the rainforrest even thoug u almost are in the middle of downtown.
The city has so much to offer and u will not be bored. Cosy cafe's, rainforrest in the center, parks, bridge climbing, a mountain with a view over the hole city, and so much more.

We spent 3 day's in Brisbane and did so much, also we probably had the best experience of the entire trip here. We went to the lone pine koala sanctuary where we got to hold a koala and pet with several kangaroos. Witch was awesome :) The koala just held on to u and gave a sweet sound while enjoying itself in your arms while the kangaroo eating straight from your hand. :) So sweet and so adorable. The sanctuary had more to offer, some fresh wather crockodiles, birds of various kinds, Australian snakes and some dingos that where beautiful and so on....

We got a picture taken with the koala witch we will bring with us home and hang up on the wall as a lifetime memory. :) We went to the movie theater in Brisbane as well, we saw just go with it witch we recomend u seeing. Funny movie with Adam Sandler & Jennifer Aniston. In Brisbane we also got to leave the car in a camping just 15 min with a bus to the downtown making it easier for us to enjoy the city and have some drinks since we dont have to move the car. Me like that. :)
Hmm, think thats all for this time folks. Tomorrow we are setting the GPS to Fraser Island but before that we will make a quick stop at Mt. Coo tha where u can see over the entire Brisbane and get some unbelivable pictures. But anyway all the best guys. See u next time :)
