Bay of Islands

Hi guys :)

This time we say hi from the bay of Islands in the Northland so hi :) The days of our NZ yourney is fading and we are soon on our way home so right now we are just enjoying NZ at it's best. Lately we have experienced a storm, flooding that kept us from going all the way north and of course there has been some adrenalin again. Even though we could have thought about better places to spend them but it's all good since we both are starting to get that feeling that we have done it all and seen so much that chilling for a couple of days sounds good. :) Even the thought of a working summer sounds good right now. hehe :) As I mentioned we are in the bay of Islands. The bay where u supposedly could do anything and probably is awesome if you got bucks to spend.... Witch we don't at the moment. :( So Jenny, Dicky and Petsku if it's u have extra money this is the place to be. If not, we recconmend not spending to much time here. That's at least our opinion, but go check it our for yourself. :)

Anyhow, we have spent our days here in Paihia witch is a small village (3000 people) witch in summer trippels it's amount of people. So it's hectic and filled with stuff to do but expencive. Well we used Paihia as a base (stayed at a awesome holiday park) and went for several small day trips around the bay witch worked perfect. Trips like:
1. A dirve up to Kerikeri to catch the new pirates of the caribian movie witch was not good btw. We also spent some time walking around the small village.
2. Another ting we did was a boat ride to Russel (around 12 euro) witch is a lovely little community with tons of small kosy cafes where u can get the finest cup of coffee and watch over the bay where the action takes place.
3. We also did a short trip to the Hururu falls witch is a small water fall closely located north of Paihia and a sight well worth a visit spec if u do the haruru walk.
(read more about the activities on the picture coments if u fancy)

In Paihia we did a cool thing called mack attack, witch is a speed boat sightseeing trip that takes u out to see the attractions on the see. The amayzing beaches, the hole in the rock, caves, and off caurse dolphins. A fast sightseein (49 knp) that raises your adrenalin level. :) Felt sorry for one of the girls, cause she started throwing up after only 15 minutes and the waves was massive. But to bad for her. hehe

After Paihia we went down to Whangarei to visti Tess and the family she is staying with. :) Here we had a cup of tea and did some catching up, witch was nice. Good to hear what u had been up to Tess. Since we only had about 5 hours before our jouney towards Auckland had to begin we didn't have time to do much. But a small walk up to the lighthouse in Tutukaka witch provided us with a spectacular view over the region. :) thanks for that guys and all the best in the future.

With that I am out. Take care and have fun. see you soon. :)
