Dunedin

Dunedin is where we are now. Home to over 100 000 people and the second biggest city on the south island. It's a city that is suppose to be a party cause it's the home to one of NZ biggest university. But we could have saved us the journey over the mountains for this. A dead city with weird people is at least my opinion. But still we took some pics of the famous train station and a old Victorian church. So once the guys from Hanorsen auto electronics had installed a brand new stereo system for our car we quickly left the city.

The journey was not far, within the region borders to a place called Otago Pennisula witch is known for their seal colonies, their penguins as well as the nature. The roads are narrow, curly and high up in the mountains, with no room for errors in your driving. If so you will role for about a km before beeig crushed into the cliffs. :) Well anyhow, the reason for this drive was the penguin colony that's supposedly is one of the cutest it the world. :) There is suppose to be like average 20 penguins running from the beach to their home at dusk each day. :) Well we arrived early so we had to wait for about 1 hour before the action could begin. 1 penguin suddenly jumped out of the sea. 1 penguin i say :) WTF?? Where are the rest? She looked as surprised as we did when she realized that she was all alone. :( she looked sad & lonely where she stood. hehe. Well no one else showed so they where probably eaten by a seal or a killer whale. But at least we saw one. Yeahy :)

Happely after seeing one penguin witch was about the size of a dildo btw, we set the gps for Christchurch. After sleeping at a random car park somewhere we arrived Christchurch, witch is not accessible cause of the earthquake. So we didn't see much, just construction work and stuff like that. I asked a lady in a shopping mall about the city and u could see that it's still a awkward topic for some to talk about so we didn't bother asking more then that question. And we heard that over 1000 buildings in the cbd has to be tor down cause they are dangerous to live in. So our thoughts go to the people in Christchurch.

Anyway, lets not go more into that and just leave it to someone that knows more about it. With that we left Christchurch heading north on the highway.
Our goal is a destination know for nice weather, whales and seals. A destination that will keep us occupied for two or tree days. Betty will tell u more about that next time, in the mean time have fun & take care
Soon we will be back so let's have a beer and relax.

See ya :)
