South Island

We left the North Island after 2 weeks chilling for the colder parts on the South Island. :( We parked our beloved jucy on a Blubridge ferry departing for the South. The cruise from North to South takes about 4 hours and is awesome. Views that will make you camera go varm. And it indeed did! People went Chinese once the fiord landscape appered. Like a paparazzi would go over a naked Katy Perry. Picture of that, that and that. Even the carbage bin appered in some pics. hehe Betty :)
Anyway the crossing went fast, and the weather amayzing. Sun, lots of people, sceneries whereever u turn and a latte makes the day perfect does'nt it?? Well we thought so, but it only got better once we arrived in the weird city Picton. Picton is where the ferries arrives, and it's a hysteric city during the busy sommer periods when as many as 2000 arrives daily, but during the winter it's asleep. So good timing once again. hehe

Well after doing some reasurch we quickly realised what we need to do and where to go, and since we only have 11 days to do the South Island we needed to update ourselfs about the Isle. After renting bikes we jumped into the car on our way to the Queen Charlotte Track in the Marlborough Sounds. It's an 75 km track that is suppose to give u breathtaking views. But since the weather had been bad for a couple of days the track was unbikable, so we had to cancel the bikes. It sucked, spec the 50 km drive we did. But we did a little bit of walking and saw some views, and a nice sunset. :) so not a total waste.
And back in the car we went heading for the Abel Tasman national park, there we did a kayak trip and got to play with a seal. Cool animal :)
The seal came close and was curious to what we where doing and wanted to play. :) to bad she was to quick for our camera to snapshot her but still it was pretty cool. :) Since our scedule we could'nt stay for long at the park but if u are down here u should do some more sightseeing then we did cause it looks awesome. Crystal clear water, playfull seals and the scenaries pretty much sums it for u. Go play Dicky and Jenny :) hehe

Well good times :) good times. We are back in the car again. Starting to be a bit sick of living in a car even though it's gone surprisingly well. :) Some day's it's cold as hell, some it's nice and cosy. But the best thing must be the fact that u can go where ever u want to at any given time. :) The roads in NZ is crazy and curly, and u can't go as fast as u could in Australia but then again the country is smaller so the distances are doable. But have to run, Betty wants to see the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. :) So tune in for next time's update. Take care.
